Thrust

For our glider drone, we will use a motor in front of the glider. It will be placed on the nose/head of the glider, pointing forwards. The thrust is the forward force that propels the glider through the air. If there is no motor on the glider (like with a paper plane), the thrust will be the conversion of the kinetic energy and the potential energy.

The mathematical expression for thrust is:

Here, T is thrust, W is the weight of the glider, D is the drag and sinC of the is the sine angle of the climb.

There is a beautiful relation among them:

Thrust + Lift = Drag + Weight
