Summary

Determining the effort required to implement the changes necessary to satisfy PMCoE implementation goals and objectives demands a clear analysis of the gap between current conditions and those that are desired. Several tools for assessing current project management knowledge and practices were discussed in this chapter.

Creating a charter, developing the scope statement, assembling the project and steering teams are all important first steps in the process of initiating projects.
