Summary

In this chapter, we saw how to install and use the Ripple Emulator and how useful it can be for web developers while building mobile applications using Kendo UI Mobile. Then we created our first mobile application and started building our sample Movie Tickets application, and along with it learning the internals of Kendo UI Mobile. We also explored platform-specific UI rendering and the new Flat UI theme.

In the next chapter, we will learn how to build RESTful services using Microsoft's ASP.NET Web API. If you are a non .NET programmer, you can skip the next chapter and use the HTTP service hosted on the book's website.
