Introduction
Over the last few years, Microsoft started focusing its attention on Internet-related technologies, from both Web client and server perspectives. While Internet Explorer started dominating Windows desktops, Internet Information Server, introduced in the Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack and built into later operating systems, gained popularity on the server side.
