Summary

This chapter began with a brief discussion about Web server farms and then presented a high-level overview of Application Center 2000. It also covered some fundamentals such as using file copy deployment to move a .NET application and packaging a .NET Web site to be hosted externally. Finally, it discussed the steps required to move a SQL Server database to deploy an application.

Following this chapter is a set of appendixes I thought would be useful if you're a .NET developer creating a B2C e-Commerce site. These appendixes include a C# language reference, a VB.NET language reference, an ASP.NET object model, and an ADO.NET quick reference.
