Up Selling in MyGolfGear.NET

Up selling is similar to the cross selling marketing tactic. It has many of the same benefits. The main difference is that, in up selling, the sole purpose is to increase the size of the order. This is mainly done by looking at what the user is getting ready to purchase and then offering products that are upgrades to any of the items in the user's order.

Say a user is getting ready to check out and has a $90 driver in his shopping cart. We could then offer him a better driver that costs $150. Just as in cross selling, we could bring in the user's preferences and buying habits to determine which products to up sell.
