Summary
This chapter discussed the steps taken to implement the capability to accept gift certificates on MyGolfGear.NET. It discussed the additional database elements needed, the new data access class GiftCertificate.cs, the additions to the OrderDS strongly typed dataset, and the modifications made to the user interface elements.
The next chapter, “Automating the E-mailing of Product Information with ASP.NET,” shows how MyGolfGear.NET implements the capability to send someone else product information from the product details page. Specifically, it will show the steps necessary for MyGolfGear. NET to support this functionality and discuss the use of the System.Web.Mail namespace.
