Summary

This chapter covered a wide range of topics and gave you a good indication of what the rest of this book will cover. It talked about the current trends in e-Commerce, and it gave a high-level outline of the common features of today's B2C e-Commerce sites. It discussed the current tools used for developing Internet applications and outlined some of the areas where they fall short. Finally, it talked briefly about what makes a good B2C architecture and some of the steps necessary to develop a robust, secure B2C e-Commerce application.
