Creating the Custom Workflow

Now that the permissions activity has been created, it’s time to build the workflow. As mentioned in the opening section of this chapter, we’ll be implementing the first half of the business process. We’ll add the workflow project to the existing solution and continue with the same project in the next chapter.

Goals

The goals for the workflow for this chapter include the following:

  • Get the workflow up and running with task forms.

We will be adding a SharePoint Sequential Workflow project to the existing solution.

The task forms will be created in Microsoft InfoPath. We’ll discuss the design high points and will show how to integrate the forms into our workflow.

  • Automate the security via our custom activity.
