Information Management Policies

Information management policies provide the means to build a unified infrastructure for managing documents. With content types, you can define a combination of policies centrally that assign labels, identify auditing events, schedule content disposition when a document expires, or insert barcodes into documents. In the following subsections, we will describe each of the policy types and show examples of how they can be used in document content types.
