Out-of-the-Box Templates

Out-of-the-box workflows can be configured for content types at the site collection, site, or list levels. You can also create out-of-the-box workflows for all items in a particular SharePoint list, regardless of whether content types are used in that list or not. Workflows can be started manually by users with at least Edit Items permissions, or they can be started automatically when a new item is created or an item is changed. The four out-of-the-box templates are the following:

  • Approval

  • Collect Feedback

  • Collect Signatures

  • Disposition Approval
