At this point you should have 40 site columns within the Human Resources group. The next step in the development process is to create a site content type and then add the existing columns. As with columns, content types can be created at the site collection, site, or list levels, and the same referencing rules apply. For the sake of consistency, we will create the content type at the site collection level.
