Eddystone-URL

The Eddystone-URL data format is the backbone of Google’s physical web. The frame broadcasts a Google-encoded URL, which enables it to broadcast more information in fewer characters. Any device that has access to the Internet will be able to decode the URL and open the underlying web page. An example of a Google-encoded URL is https://goo.gl/Aq18zF.
