Up to this point, I’ve shown you how to install, manage, and update a WordPress blog. This knowledge is critical to a successful blog, because otherwise, you wouldn’t know what to do with a blog! A blog is much more than the software that runs behind the scenes, however. It’s important to know about themes, widgets, and plug-ins, because you can use all those features to enhance your blog, but the true star of the show is your content, whether it be photos, videos, or words.

In this chapter, I give you some tips, tricks, and techniques for building an audience for your blog and show you how you should gauge success. My advice boils down to what I call the Three Cs of Blogging: Content, Consistency, and Community.
