Summary

In this chapter, we developed a basis structure for our lab that allows us to start building a lab systematically, clearly understanding why we have chosen certain lab components and which tasks they will fulfill for us.

We hope that after reading this chapter, you can identify your personal needs and tasks in the provided lists and make a deliberate conclusion what do you want to have in your lab and what is not necessary for you.

The developed network topology combines principles used for building real enterprise networks and enough complexity to practice various types of penetration testing techniques. It is affordable for a home lab as well as in a corporate network.
