Mr. Phil Swinburne has enjoyed a long career in the U.K. Metropolitan police force, during which he gained experience in criminal investigations and then specialized in the area of fraud investigations. In 1996, he became the head of the Metropolitan Police Computer Crime Unit, one of the first of its kind in the world. As part of the role he worked on developing the international relationships that are so essential to this type of investigation. He was the U.K. representative to INTERPOL and EUROPOL and was responsible for the training of police officers from a large number of European and former Soviet countries.
