Server Cabinets
The next most valuable items to stock in a Data Center are server cabinets. As with patch cords, cabinets can often be provided by the manufacturer whose servers your company buys. This can seem convenient because manufacturers are often willing to install the servers into their cabinets at the factory and ship them to you—a notable time savings for your system administrators if the order involves dozens of servers or more. Spend enough on the equipment and the cost of the cabinet might even be free.
