While most Data Center design projects focus on building a new server environment, there might come a time when you need to retrofit an existing room due to one of several infrastructure shortcomings.

One common problem is running out of space to host equipment. To mitigate this, rerack servers close together, share monitors between devices, position floor-standing machines to occupy the least space, upgrade to smaller servers, and quickly remove decommissioned servers from the Data Center floor.
