Network Redundancy

Where electrical redundancy is provided to your servers by electrical conduits running from more than one power distribution unit, network redundancy is provided by structured cabling running from more than one networking device. Whereas electrical conduits must be hardwired into the PDUs, however, structured cabling is standalone infrastructure that any networking devices can be plugged in to. Each cable is essentially providing its own path, and you just need additional networking devices to make them redundant.
