The client is over the moon with the progress of the Startrackr mobile app, but they’ve just called with an additional request. They’ve read on a blog that selling mobile apps is an awesome way to bring in additional revenue. Indeed, while web apps—like the one we’ve built so far—are easy to deploy and access via the Web, the downside is there’s no one simple way to charge for access to them.
The client has also told us that they really want stalkers—er—fans to be able to take pictures of their favorite stars if they see them in the street, and upload them directly to the site. So far, we’ve managed to convince them that this feature isn’t essential—mainly because it’s impossible on today’s mobile browsers.
