About This Book

Here’s a very brief rundown of the chapters in the book.

In Chapter 1 we establish the ground rules for assembling our computer and get a sneak peek at what the PC will look like once we are finished building it.

In Chapter 2 we select the computer case and power-supply unit (PSU) capable of containing and powering our computer.

In Chapter 3 we look at the central processing unit (CPU), the brain of the PC. Since we need to plug that brain into the rest of the PC’s nervous system, we need a motherboard (MOBO for short) that matches the brain’s size and computing capacity.
