The sound mixer is often the centre-piece of the audio studio both in terms of its physical size and functionality.The purpose of the sound mixer is to process and combine multiple audio sources for live transmission, recording or presentation.Human hearing allows many simultaneous sounds to be ‘meaningfully understood’ and the largest audio projects may require hun-dreds of audio sources to be combined together by the sound mixer.
