1.9.1 Types of Colour Display

The display device in a colour television system has to be capable of receiving the red, green and blue picture signals and using them to produce the appropriate amounts of red, green and blue light at each point of the picture. The most widely used display devices are of three main types: shadow-mask tubes, Trinitron type tubes, and triple projection devices.
