Introduction: embracing change
At heart I am a late adopter, a Luddite if you like. I’m not actually scared of technology and change, but I am at best a little wary of it. However, over the years I’ve learned to accept and embrace it. I’ve learned that new technology is a good thing – it enables change, and change is good.
Over the last decade I have seen a revolution in how we communicate. The advent of broadband, 3G and high-powered technology has seen the rise of an always-on internet and email-powered life. These changes have been every bit as important and far-reaching as the printing press, radio and television, but the difference is that these changes have happened in a few years rather than decades.
