This chapter describes the five levels you can achieve as a presenter. As you will see, most people don’t get beyond level one. The whole point here is that it’s hard to be competent, let alone good, and it’s very hard to be brilliant. The key is to be honest about where you think you are starting on this journey of improvement.

This is not an easy journey. You can’t suddenly leap up and proclaim ‘I want to be a film star’ and be one. It will require work, practice, effort and a lot of blood, sweat and tears. Forget the blood – sweat and tears will do.
