This is a list of major institutions and organisations that produce regular research and information and which anyone interested in learning more about economics should look at on a regular basis. There are many other highly reputable institutions but these are the ones that tend to be most prolific.

INSTITUTE FOR FISCAL STUDIES

The IFS is a UK economics think tank. It publishes research in a wide area of issues arising out of tax and spending decisions. In particular it produces an annual report, known as the Green Budget, in January, which gives detailed analysis of what to expect in the Budget.
