Chapter 12. VisiCalc
The complete story of VisiCalc, including the people and companies involved, is a long one, way too long for this book. However, I think it is worth including some of that story as an example of the development of a general-purpose tool. It shows how a few people can create something that can have a great effect on the world and in many ways is not atypical of other such products. I've also included some related things I wrote about VisiCalc.
