Celebrate!

A NUMBER OF years ago, we were reading an interview with the late actor/director David Carradine. The article featured a photo of him behind the camera, on the set of the film he was then directing. Taped to the side of the camera was a handwritten note that said, simply and directly, “Share the glory.”

Take a deep breath. Exhale. Bring the team together one last time (well, not really—you’ve got more internal work to do) and make sure everyone is acknowledged. You want to start with the core team, but then work your way out to the organization as a whole.

After thanking your own team, move on to management. Let them know how important their support was in making the project happen. Yes, it’s a little suck-up, but so what? Everyone ...
