What Should the Plan Look Like?

A FEW YEARS ago, Paul was putting an addition on a modest lake cabin. It was a small project and the architect was focused on a much bigger design for a major new estate. Though responsive to Paul, he advanced the project only when Paul pressed for meetings. At other times, the drawings were delegated to his junior draftsmen.

When the drawings were completed, and all the town and lake association approvals were in hand, construction got under way. Fortunately, Paul checked in on the builder on a regular basis.
