Get the Most from Your High-End Speakers

If the speakers connected to your PC are high-definition speakers, you can configure those speakers for better performance by working through the advanced sound options available in Windows Vista. Figure 7-4 shows these options, which are available on the Enhancements tab of the Speakers dialog box; Loudness Equalization is selected here.

If you have high-definition speakers, you’ll see a few new features on the Enhancements tab in the Speakers dialog box, including Bass Management, Speaker Fill, Room Correction, and Loudness Equalization.
