Create and Save Search Folders

A search folder is a folder you create with criteria you select. For instance, you can use the Search feature in Windows Vista to search for only those pictures that have specific metadata, such as a child’s name or a date.

To create a basic search for pictures and to see how search folders work, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, Search.
