Tier 2—Lateral: Legal—Lawyers

Abstract

Though the legal and information security professions may not appear to have much overlap, as more and more regulations and legal agreements include information security as components, the two professions have become more intertwined. While the skills a lawyer develops may not be applicable at the operational level of information security, their understanding of the legal matters that drive information security make them entirely appropriate for high-level managerial and executive positions.
