Enterprise JavaBeans and Component-based Middleware

Now that we have spent some time looking into the past and you have an understanding of what application servers are, we’ll take a look at Enterprise JavaBeans and see what features they offer. The rudimentary purpose behind Enterprise JavaBeans is to provide a framework for which components may be designed and then “plugged” into a server. This server then extends the components’ capabilities by offering services for which it will supply “plumbing” and other necessary amenities.
