Deployment

After the Web-based application has been created and debugged, it is time to deploy into a Web server outside JBuilder. As a Web application, there are two ways to deploy it as discussed at the beginning of the chapter:

  • Expanded directories beginning at the root

  • A single Web Application Archive (WAR) file

The first method requires the root directory of the Web application to be copied with all associated subdirectories to a location specified by the targeted Web server. The second method requires the root directory and the subdirectories to be collapsed into a single file with the file extension .war.
