Friday Meetings Suck

Um … enough said? Hope you get the point.

Facilitator SRDs

  • Unless this meeting concludes at a local watering hole, let this team finish the week on the projects, sales, or tasks that need to be completed this week. Then, instead of going home with a load of anxiety and stress, you can leave work with a sense of accomplishment, which you feel most acutely on a Friday (or worse yet, Monday) for all the things that didn't get finished because you'd called a Friday meeting.

Attendee SRDs

  • When you get the invitation, suggest a new time that would fit better.

Get Out!

Funny how it seems your calendar is always completely filled with other things on Fridays. That's a good habit to keep up! Schedule yourself for personal work time so your calendar shows up as full and others can't “automatically” schedule your time.

Have a productive Friday, and a great weekend!
