This section describes the process of diagnosing and fixing failures. Providing methods for fixing all of the potential hardware and software problems you may encounter is beyond the scope of this book; our goal is simply to point you in the right direction and to explain some of the problems you may run into and possible solutions. The process of working with the volume manager to restore the boot disks is described in some detail for a number of cases.
