Personal restructuring

Make your own, completely personal, ways to order the info you are trying to memorise - and you’ll be more successful at it.

Information can be like food: you need to chew on it well before you swallow.

Not only will understanding information make it easier to remember, but restructuring it in your own unique way will help even more. Each new memory has to be slotted into your brain, which is full of previous memories and associative links between concepts. The better able you are to link and associate the new information with what you already know, the more likely you are to remember it.

Whenever you are trying to learn new information, ask questions like these:

What is this similar to that I already know?
