Why perfect recall is not necessarily best.
Wouldn’t it be great to have a photographic memory? Imagine: take one brief look at something, and; click!—you would have an instant, perfect record of it.
You could then go back through your memories and recall any detail, no matter how small.
This may sound fantastic, but we do know that the human brain is capable of this. The bad news is that it seems to only occur in people with some structural abnormality to the brain. Memory techniques that anyone can learn can massively boost your memory power but only those born different, or who develop some major brain difference through accident or otherwise, can attain this level of memory skill.
