This book continues with an exploration of volume 1 of the Bluetooth specification, called the core specification. Chapter 5 presents the overall Bluetooth protocol stack and describes the relationships among its layers. The remaining chapters of Part 2 examine each layer of the stack in turn, from the lowest layers to the higher layers. Chapter 6 discusses the Bluetooth radio, baseband, link controller and link manager layers. Chapter 7 explores the logical link control and adaptation protocol (L2CAP) layer and host controller interface (HCI).
