Well, just how do you modify the information in (and not yet in) your database? The techniques will vary according to who is responsible for the data in the first place.

Project data as it applies to your project, there should be no problem at all. After all, it is you who are responsible for this data, and you have control of your Program and Technical Plans and all the other data generated by your project. As Nike says: "Just do it!"

Project data that will be applicable to other projects should be a part of the enterprise database. That data should be routed through the "Senior Advisory Council" or whoever else is responsible for commonizing and approving data to be used by all projects and incorporated into the database. ...
