According to a study from the Ponemon Institute, the healthcare industry faces a number of immediate challenges around cyber and data security. Not all can be met with blockchain technology, as it will do little to counter phishers seeking credentials or the authorization to steal patient data, important financial documents, unsecured mobile devices (BYOD), and medical devices. However, it can fundamentally change the way the industry stores health data and controls access to information.
