Group Habitual Routines

As Andrew left his hotel room and headed to the elevator, he mulled over the issues that would likely come up at the board dinner tonight. He had already decided how he felt about the acquisition proposed by CEO Todd Harvey, but he wondered whether his fellow directors were similarly negative about it. He was eager to get past the “wine-and-dine schmooze event” starting at 7 o’clock at the hotel bistro. It would probably be a late night, but at least he knew what to expect. After Harvey and the senior managers of Arksey & Co. left the restaurant, Andrew and the other directors would retire to the bar, have a few drinks, and sooner or later the dirt would start to fly.
