Making an orthographic camera for video

The camera for a text-based animation will be slightly different from what we had in our 3D scenes. An orthographic view of the project will be the best choice to mimic a flat 2D space.

You can change the Blender camera to orthographic mode easily in the properties. First, we must place it looking from top to bottom. Using the 7 key on the numpad, or the Z icon in your widget navigator (the blue circle with a Z inside), set the 3D View to the top.

Use the Ctrl + Alt+ 0 (on the numpad) keys to align your camera with your actual view. Or you can also go to the View menu, then Align View, then lastly Align Active Camera to View.
