If you look at the long list of effects available in the Sequencer Editor, you will probably find yourself thinking about how to use them in practice. To show a practical example, we can create a short animation that will blend text and graphics using effects.
As a result, you will get an overlay animation for video, which is quite common in productions for YouTube and other video streaming services. What is an overlay animation? When you get video footage and need to add something such as an animated watermark, you will have an overlay animation.
For the following example, we will use an image that has both graphics and text. The file is in PNG format and has a transparent background (Figure 4.9):
