Part III

Get Animated!

image

In this part . . .

There's just something about making things move. Your work can take on a life of its own and communicate to an audience in a way that a single still image could never do. It has to do with your creations working in coordination with time. This part goes into the steps you need to go through to give your 3D objects the illusion of life. Not only is there technical information on the details of Blender's tools for rigging characters and creating animations, but the chapters in this part also cover some of the essential principles of animation that are applicable to all forms of animation.

The last chapter in this part goes into how to make Blender do the heavy lifting in animation. Integrated simulation tools allow you to do complex, physically accurate animations more quickly than you could by hand. Blender gives you this power.
