About the Authors

Tim Calabro has almost two decades of experience in the field of Information Technology. Mobile communications has been his primary focus for the past several years with specific attention devoted to BlackBerry. While managing the mobile communications support team for a major investment bank, Tim co-developed patent-pending BlackBerry Enterprise Server monitoring software and worked with several large mobile application vendors to design and enhance their products. Tim also holds the distinction of being one of the world's first BlackBerry Certified Handheld Support Specialists and BlackBerry Certified System Administrators.

Robert Kao is one well-rounded professional. His ability to translate his technical knowledge and communicate with users of all types led him to co-write BlackBerry For Dummies, BlackBerry Pearl For Dummies, BlackBerry Storm For Dummies, BlackBerry Bold For Dummies, and BlackBerry Curve For Dummies. He started out as a BlackBerry developer for various financial firms in New York City, that truly global city. Kao is currently the founder of a mobile software start-up. A graduate of Columbia University with a Computer Engineering degree, he currently lives in South Brunswick, New Jersey.

William Petz has been a mobility manager at five major investment banks. His responsibilities included global supervision of mobile support, engineering, and provisioning. William was one of the first ever to obtain Research in Motion's BlackBerry Certified Support ...
