In addition to sending and receiving e-mail, looking up contacts, and keeping track of your appointments, you can use your BlackBerry to listen to music wherever you are— on the bus, at the gym, or simply walking around town. The newer BlackBerry models even support streaming music via Bluetooth, so you don't need to have those cords dangling around.

To focus on getting music onto your BlackBerry, see Book V, Chapter 1. Our focus in this chapter is on using your BlackBerry smartphone to play music.

We also talk about some amazing BlackBerry applications that allow you to listen to music live. You can stream music from the Internet, stream it from your BlackBerry, or stream it from a radio station. You will have so many different types of music to listen to that you will never stop singing and dancing with your BlackBerry.

Getting Great Music with iTunes

The iTunes program manages a variety of media files. (See Figure 2-1.) Using iTunes, you can download music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and streaming radio stations. You can easily sort media, create playlists, and play your favorite songs.
