Summary

Web Services enable the exchange of XML data messages between heterogeneous systems using standard Internet protocols. In this chapter, we created two Web Services and then implemented them from a BizTalk Orchestration schedule. In the future, you will see BizTalk Orchestration schedules implemented as Web Services as well as schedules that call Web Services running on platforms other than Windows 2000. The implementation details may change over time but will most likely improve with the advancement of .NET technologies and the next release of Microsoft BizTalk Server.
