There are two high-level inbound architectures for the 834. The first is a simple model where the 834 EDI arrives, is picked up by BizTalk, and mapped to an internal data structure. This simple model can have any variety of components and additional steps (business rules, orchestrations, etc.), but the basic flow is simple - especially when compared to the common alternative.
