Wildlife photography, and in particular bird photography, can be the most frustrating kind of photography on one hand and the most rewarding photographic experience on the other. It’s the rewards that keep us coming back time and again. There are no subjects more beautiful, more graceful, and more difficult to photograph than birds. Birds can fly! And they quite often do as soon as you are within photographable distance. They fly just a bit farther down the trail, luring you closer, step-by-cautious step, until you are about to set your tripod down, and then off they go again.
